Frequently Asked Questions

How can I reheat my egg tarts?

  • For both tarts, we recommend reheating in an oven at 400°F for approximately 3-5 minutes.

  • We don't recommend microwaving (especially for the Portuguese Tarts) as the crust will become soggy and the tart may lose structural integrity.

  • Specifically for the Hong Kong Tarts, you can even enjoy them cold without reheating!

How long can I store my egg tarts?

  • Both of our egg tarts are best enjoyed within 6 hours on the day they are purchased.

  • They can be kept in the fridge for up to 1 week if stored properly in an airtight container.

  • Hong Kong Tarts can be safely frozen for up to 2 months

  • We don't recommend freezing the Portuguese tarts as the custard may split and become gritty.

Will more items be added to the menu?

Yes! We've decided to keep our menu small for now as we launch our business, but we plan to add more items soon. As our business grows, our menu will as well, so keep a look out for announcements in the future.

Do you offer any dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, or sugar-free options?

At the moment we do not offer options for dietary restrictions, but we hope to develop more accommodating items in the future.

Are your egg tarts nut allergy safe?

  • While there are no nuts in our products, Marupo's operate out of a shared commissary kitchen where other food producers may use nuts in their recipes

  • If you plan to order pick up/delivery from us and are concerned about a nut allergy, please text us beforehand so we can coordinate with our kitchen staff.
